Mosha’s Special Leg Template

For this activity I did a Summer Learning Journey activity, we created a design for Mosha the elephants leg.

I tried to replicate the other legs and put purple straps on it because I thought it would suit Mosha and also so they knew it was a special leg.
I really liked this activity because I could use my creativity which was cool.

I enjoyed doing this activity with my friends.

I need to get better at typing faster and my writing.

  1. Kia ora Lila!

It is wonderful to see your second post for the Summer Learning Journey! As a Year 8 leader at Panmure Bridge School, you are doing a great job showing your creativity through these activities.

I really enjoyed your design for Mosha the elephant’s prosthetic leg:

I like that you tried to replicate the look of her other legs so it would blend in naturally.

Adding the purple straps was a very clever touch! It makes it clear that this is a “special leg” designed just for her.

It sounds like you are having a lot of fun completing these tasks with your friends, which is a great way to stay motivated.

Designing for an animal as large as an elephant is quite a challenge because of how much weight the leg has to support! You mentioned that your goal for this year is to get better at typing faster and your writing—blogging about your creative process like this is the perfect way to practice those skills.

What was your favorite part of using your creativity to help Mosha?

Keep up the fantastic blogging, Lila!

    Ngā mihi,

Thank you for sharing your Summer Learning Journey activity about designing a leg for Mosha the elephant. I liked how you tried to replicate her other legs and added purple straps to make the leg special and unique. This shows creativity and thoughtful design choices.

It was great to read that you enjoyed working with your friends, as collaboration can make learning more fun and meaningful. I also appreciate your honest reflection about wanting to improve your typing speed and writing, which shows a positive mindset and willingness to grow.

You explained your ideas clearly and showed strong effort throughout this task. Keep practising and enjoying your learning—great work!
