Our challenge today was to create a collaborative presentation that reflects the story behind our NZ flag. We did this by looking at how our flag has changed over time.
Something I found interesting was The United Tribes flag, also known as Te Kara (The Colour), was New Zealand’s first Internationtionally
recoginzed national flag, adopted in 1834 by Maori chiefs at waitangi, and it was a symbol of Maori Autonmy and a claim of soveregnty over the country.
